It is with regret and sadness that we say goodbye to the founder of Yoseikan. Realise it or not he has indirectly influenced thousands of Yoseikan students around the world.
Branco has made several trips to Japan over the years. He once stated that Master Minoru Mochizuki, even in his old age, was one of the most intimidating people he had ever met. It was not intentional on Master Mochizuki's part. It was the sheer presence of the man.
The Chief Instructor for Australia is Branco Bratich, 8th Dan. Branco, who, with the assistance of Tony Smith, 6th Dan and his senior instructors, has built Yoseikan into an Australia wide organisation. Branco opened his first club at the Girrawheen Recreation Centre Perth in 1978.
National Junior Coach
Branco was appointed Australia's National Junior Coach in 1989. Since that time Australia's National Junior Teams have achieved outstanding results. Australia's juniors have defeated the mighty Japanese in the Junior Asian Pacific Championships and also defeated the top European countries in the Junior World Cup, winning gold medals in the male and female team events.
National Senior Coach
Branco was appointed to this position in 1992. Since Branco has been coaching National Senior Teams, Australia has won two individual gold medals and many silver and bronze medals at World Championships. His national coaching record remains unbeaten.
Inner Development
You can develop the intrinsic power and the strong determined mind of the Martial Arts.
Children
Karate is ideal for the development of children, both mentally and physically. Parents experience a big improvement in their children's attitude, which affects them at school and at home. It is important to involve children in positive activities during their formative years. By exposing them to the positive environment of Yoseikan-Ryu Karate you are giving your child the best opportunity for their future.
